Lisa Pordon

Lisa Pordon is a Colorado artist. While she is known for her whimsical surreal landscapes, she has returned to one of her passions - creating dog art featuring quality representatives of each breed.

She is a Dog Nerd going way back! Cockers are her favorite breed. She learned a lot about dogs while competing in Junior Showmanship many years ago, putting championship titles on her own dogs, and working for a few different professional handlers.

While she doesn't currently have dogs of her own, she has been breeding and showing purebred cavies (guinea pigs) for the past 17 years, and also now raises britannia petite rabbits. Her longhaired cavies are well recognized, and have won countless Best In Show wins. She is currently working on obtaining her cavy judge's license. She also created several cavy breed illustrations in the ARBA Standard Of Perfection.

She enjoys painting in acrylics, watercolor, and gouache, as well as dabbling in sculpture. She is a studio member of the Denver Art Society co-op in Denver's Santa Fe Arts District, and teaches art workshops and classes.
